Job title: Business Development Director

Reports to: General Director

 

Conditions of Work:

  • Full time, overtime may be required to meet deadlines
  • Working Hours: Monday to Friday from 10:00 – 19:00Saturday 11:00-16:00
  • Notice Period: 1 month
  • Salary:  TBA.

 

Purpose/Scope:

Developing and managing the team of project managers for MICE projects and upscale FIT programs on the territory of Georgia and Azerbaijan and Armenia, planning and meeting the business targets of the company through the effective operational processes and product development.

 

Main Duties:

People management & development:

  • Standardization of operational processes, implementation of the processes, implementation of guidelines for general operations.
  • Manage and coordinate the distribution of enquiries to the team, prioritize the daily tasks and improve daily routine and workload
  • Responsible for the performance of the team in terms of conversion, generation of leads to achieve the goals
  • Responsible that the team is on time with follow up on all standard duties such as completion of activities, deadlines, deposits, contracts, cancellation fees, payments and always follows the group check list procedure
  • Responsible the executives are holding and fulfilling the standards
  • Internal trainings on the operational and performance standards
  • Provide leadership, support and guidance in terms of shared best practices for their respective projects and personal development

Strategic management and leadership:

  • Work with the senior management team to develop business plans and budgets that will meet the short and long term needs of the MICE/FIT business
  • Develop a yearly business plan and communicate & cascade goals, targets and action plans to direct reports
  • Meeting the sales targets of the organization through effective planning and budgeting
  • Responsible of preparation of statistics and necessary information’s and overview for monthly meetings with senior management
  • Arrange monthly meetings to provide feedback to teams on the company’s performance and strategic objectives

Business Development:

  • Focusses efforts on MICE accounts with significant potential sales revenue
  • Understand the overall market – competitor´s strengths and weaknesses, economic trends, supply and demand etc. knows how to sell against them
  • Represent Grata DMC to agencies, trade shows, trade partners and networking functions in line with the business requirements

Product & Operations:

  • Ensure there is an adequate portfolio of product for each segment MICE/FIT and each destination Georgia/Azerbaijan
  • New product development planning and management to take advantage of exclusive offers to customers
  • Guide on the product portfolio project managers
  • Oversee strategic supplier negotiation and contracting to leverage service levels, cost savings and ensuring supplier relationships are being well maintained
  • Set and monitor guest satisfaction levels, and the standards of tour guides, drivers and other staff
