Professional qualities and experience
We seek a qualified and self-motivated Lead Teacher of Secondary

cross-cultural environment.

This an opportunity to join a great team and make a genuine difference,
educating the upcoming elite of a young country with a promising future.

In addition to fulfilling a teaching timetable, the successful applicant will
work to further the development of the international stream’s Cambridge
Secondary History, Geography, Business Studies and Economics

It is not necessary to be a specialist in all of the above disciplines in order
to apply for this role, but a willingness to support the development of all
Humanities subjects is a requirement.

Core duties in this role include:

  • Fulfilling a 60% teaching timetable, delivering lessons to an exemplar standard.
  • Working to consolidate the curriculum, planning, assessment and
  • resourcing for History, Geography, Business Studies and Economics.
  • Leading a team of around four host-country nationals with fluent English and significant experience of teaching the Cambridge Secondary Curriculum.
  • Collaborating with local colleagues from across the school on resource management, school events, competitions and initiatives related to the Humanities subjects.

The position will suit a committed, enthusiastic teaching professional
possessing the correct blend of moral purpose, teaching and
interpersonal and intercultural communication skills.

1 At the school’s current stage of development we feel that the Preschool and Primary school are ready for expatriate leaders but that it is probably not yet the right time to induct expatriates’ dependent children into the Secondary school.
